sparecchange

Well done everyone; we made £111.81 (plus Gift Aid). An all-time record within the brief (but productive) tenure of the Spare Change Run to date.

£40.81 to Save the Children Syria

£35.50 to Beanstalk

£35.50 to the NSPCC

Thanks especially to Zineb has kindly brought in some Moroccan M’hencha as part of our concerted attempt to raise a handy amount for three charities this month.

All suggestions for charities/aid organisations will be entertained. We will reconvene again on Tuesday 27th October (or thereabouts; basically when we get paid)

Save the Children’s teams are inside Syria giving children the basics they need to survive. They are also in neighbouring countries, such as Lebanon and Iraq, and along the whole route through Europe that refugees take, providing urgent relief as well as long-term aid to refugee children and their families. With no end to this crisis in sight, they continue to need support to help more children.

bean

Beanstalk is a national charity that recruits, vets, trains and supports volunteers to provide one-to-one reading support in primary schools to children who have fallen behind with their reading.

ns

NSPCC are the leading children’s charity in the UK, specialising in child protection and dedicated to the fight for every childhood. They are the only UK children’s charity with statutory powers and that means they can take action to safeguard children at risk of abuse.
