I decided to take this opportunity to introduce myself since many of you don’t know who I am or anything about me. It is a shame I have never gotten to meet any of you, maybe someday! My name is Heather Hourigan, I am part of the US team located near Chicago. I am the Production Coordinator here. I enjoy this job very much, as it allows me to utilize some of my best skills. I am extremely organized and very meticulous about my work, which can be trying to some but it is useful in my position! I work with many of the analysts, and I love conversing with people in other countries. My favorite is to learn slang words from all over; it is very interesting to learn the differences in cultures.

I have loved animals since as long as I can remember. Of course I love the usual dogs and cats, but I have a deep affection for reptiles. Before I came to Kantar Media in 2012 I owned a local pet shop. Although it did not work out, it was a great experience! I also really enjoy baseball, hockey and football. American football, although I have taken a liking to Manchester United because of some friends on your side of the pond. Since I am from Chicago, my favorite teams are the Cubs, Blackhawks, and Bears.

Summer is my favorite season (winter is awful here!) I take pleasure in riding my motorcycle, spending time at the beach, photography, cars, fishing, and of course enjoying a cold beer! I also participate in as many charity events and fundraisers as I can. I do the Polar Plunge every March, which benefits the Illinois Special Olympics. That is probably one of the craziest events I do!

To sum myself up, I love to live life, enjoy the outdoors, give what I can to good causes, and take care of animals.
